More information about SB6!

This bill was proposed a few years ago, but has not yet become law. A few months ago the leader of South Alabama Homeschooling spoke to Senator Shay Shelnutt [R]. She asked him to present it to the floor again this spring, and he has agreed! Alabama HSLDA attorney, Daniel Beasley has also been working on this with Alabama homeschool leaders. SB 6 is a bill that will allow our private, parent led home educated children to become police officers with their parent issued diploma!

SB6 has already been posted on the docket for the 2020 regular session! We will be calling on you to call your legislators in the new year to let them know of your support!
